Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Welder to join our Fleet & Equipment Manufacturing Team. This role involves welding, fabricating, and modifying truck parts, attachments, and custom equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding, and a strong commitment to precision, safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

·       Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on steel and aluminum truck parts and equipment.

·       Fabricate, repair, and modify truck components, frames, brackets, tanks, and accessories.

·       Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements accurately.

·       Inspect and verify the quality and precision of all welds and assemblies.

·       Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement or repair in the shop.

·       Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

·       Document and track materials, repairs, and modifications accurately.

·       Work efficiently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong self-motivation.

·       Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to support fleet maintenance operations.

·       Operate grinders, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools.

·       Proven experience or certification in MIG, TIG, and stick welding.

·       Strong attention to detail and pride in producing precise, clean work.

·       Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects.

·       Physically capable of handling heavy materials/equipment and standing for long periods.

·       Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.

·       Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety and teamwork.

·       Ability to complete basic record keeping and documentation.

·       Respectful attitude toward all coworkers and supervisors — professionalism is non-negotiable.

Preferred Skills

·       Experience in a manufacturing environment or welding and fabricating truck frames, brackets, tanks, and accessories.

·       Ability to problem-solve and adapt designs during fabrication.

·       Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and truck systems or mechanical repair is an asset.
